I finally managed to get some pictures of his (or her) back, but they aren't great. He's not a fan of being uncovered. I need to get something to cover the sides of the terrarium so he feels more secure. He is still very small (size of a quarter or so) but I'm really hoping someone will be able to tell if he's an ornata or a cranwelli through the dirt and blurriness lol. Thanks![]()
looks like a Cranwell to me
i'm thinking Cranwelli
C. Cranwelli. I like the color. Nice frog.
Awe, he's a cutie.

Looking good!
Thanks everyone. I guess there is a good general consensus on C. Cranwelli. I had a feeling that's what it was even though the label said Ornata. I don't know specific differences between the two, but for some reason he looked like a cranwell's to me. They look different but I can't put my finger on what it is lol.
There is a slight difference in body structure especially facial structure and the actual stance. Ornates are usually far more colorful and have 2 false eye spots. One on the back of each eye lid. Ornates pattern is usually more intricate too. Cranwellies are awesome too so don't let anyone tell you otherwise especially that PyxieBob character and. His mass of green frogs Lol!
Welcome to the BROWN frog team![]()
I don't care what kind he is as long as he remains awesome. Brown will match his name better anyways (futurama reference anyone?)
Well, he's a cutie and brown's are fabulous.
