Default anyone know much (or anything) about Pipa Pipa?

My local petstore has a new addition, a Pipa pipa. Does anyone know anything about these frogs? At almost $50, I don't have the money to get this frog and not care for it correctly. I have read a little online about this frog, seen pictures, but no real knowledge. I don't know if it is male or female, but it is about 3 inches in length, not counting legs and 2.5 inches or so across the sides. thanks for any info

I didn't really read through it fully to check the info but there is a care sheet here How to keep and breed your new Surinam toad, Pipa pipa, with pictures. At 3 inch it will be a juvenile. They are an awesome frog, given the right set up they will be visable often, if not they will hide in any crevice that they can fit into.

Pipa pipa are really awesome frogs, but they need a large aquarium (at least 20 gallons). Temperature should be about 80 (F). Water quality is of utmost importance, as well as proper filtration and aeration. Use very subdued lighting. Although, not required, these frogs do well in a "blackwater" environment. There are plenty of websites with recipes on making blackwater. Yes, they are expensive and make sure everything is prepared before purchase. This species should not be a "first frog", keepers need to have experience.
