New enclosure question

Hey guys how are you doing.
I know it has been a while since i have posted, because my frog had passed a while ago. I have felt pretty bad and I have not come back to the forum. Lately though, I have been thinking about getting back into it. I know there was a fairly active member here that kept his pyxies together and in a full water (no coco fiber) aquarium. I cannot remember his name for the life of me. But if anyone can help me out on pictures or ideas of doing an enclosure this way I would really appreciate it. I tried searching but came up blank. Jimifrog has his frogs in all water setups, check his threads out etc to take a look at what he has done. I have been thinking of doing the same, but I'm not 100% confident with it.

Hey steest; I just came back to the forum after awhile of being off of it, sorry about your frog man. If you do all water setups I would highly suggest investing in a fluval external filter -- Amazon they're marked down a lot retail. For the frog to rest out of water the brick idea is pretty good; I'm trying to think of what else you could either build to provide a basking area or a reptile company that makes something applicable for what you're trying to do. Maybe you could build a ramp on one side siliconed to the glass sides with pebbles covering the ramp applied with silicone for a surface that has a lot of traction. Just a thought?

Awesome, I looked up fluval filters and they look perfect for what I want to do. Low maintenance and strong. Checked out craiglist and someone had one for $15! I looked at jimifrogs photos and your right I think the brick idea is great. I will definitely boil them first though to get any contaminants off. Someone mentioned looking at some turtle aquariums online and that has helped a lot. I'm pretty good with DIY stuff and I think the silicone idea is great. Thanks a lot.

Hey bwise yeah now that I looked him up I'm positive that he is the guy that I was thinking of thanks a lot! I guess why I want a mostly water enclosure is because I had a dish that my frog would bask in and that is where he spent 90% of his time. I left apartment for only 12 hours and when I came back he had urinated in it and he poisoned him self.

Since I am thinking of getting another pixie I want to make sure that never happens again thank you for your help
