So I moved the heater to the side of the tank and the temperature dropped drastically. It was only 70 degrees when I got up this morning. So the heat is just not transferring very well at all now. When I feel the back of it it feels warm but not like hot or anything. I'm not sure how these things work because I've never used one. I put an incandescent bulb in the light to generate some more heat today but I would really like a better alternative to that. Do you think the heater got damaged when I transferred it from under the tank to the side or is it just not working as effectively due to heat loss from the back? Sorry if I'm rambling a bit. I'm just worried that poor little Hypnotoad is going to get too chilly!
