Sometimes the Eco Earth in a bag already expanded will have mites, but mites don't fly. Springtauls can jump. They are a mite like creature that cleans fungi and waste from your frogs enclosure. Flying tiny insects would be Knats(a type of Fruit Fly). Does your frog seem to be in distress or stop eating? Is there and odd odor coming from the enclosure? To be safe it would be best to remove all substrate clean the enclosure and replace all substrate with new. Give your Pac a warm De-chlorinated soak while you clean to be sure that if they are attacking your frog that they are drown. Or washed off him/her.

The expandable brick kind of Eco Earth usually doesn't have this problem.

That is probably where they cam from. A good cleaning is in order. Hopefully after you change everything and clean they will be gone.

They can. Its always better to be safe than sorry. It would be best if you rid your. Frogs enclosure of them before it becomes an infestation.

I’ve changed the soil and it seems to have eradicated the problems.
