Kinda sparse at the moment, I have some Eco dirt in there which the frog does well in (gonna get coco fiber for it soon and a heat lamp cause my under tank heater only makes its living conditions 70 degrees at best) the frog likes the heater lol, I want to get a little moss for around the water dish too. And I need to pick up some plants, i didn't know about all this stuff when I bought him, the pet store said he would be find with dirt and a water dish so he doesn't have any fake plants or anything. He will as soon as I get paid though, he likes staying hidden in the dirt. I spray it down once a day there is 2 inches of dirt in there for him he lives in a 10 gallon tank and im going to have to find some way to attach the heater to the sides of the tank because i read you don't want the heat pad (though i touched the bottom its barely warm) to be under the dirt.

I think i was looking in all the wrong places for information lol, glad i found this place. his main diet is crickets i get from the petstore (petsmart) and he eats 3 of those every couple days, but he's been hiding and not eating the vet says hes fine. I had to dig him out today to get him to eat. Got some pictures of him when i did that lol.

    Welcome to Frog Forum Sarah.

You have found the place to be if you need info on your frog.

When you say Eco dirt do you mean Eco Earth? If so that is coconut fiber substruate(not to be confused with coconut husk). As a baby he/she will need temps during. The day at 80 to 82 and at night 75 to 79. You should keep his/her humidity at 80%.

The substrate needs to be moist or heavily damp not muddy. It is normal for them to bury and hide during the day. These are nocturnal frogs and sleep during. The day and are active at night. He/she should not be disturbed during the day. You should also only feed at night.

He/she will need a 12 hour day night cycle. So 12 hours of day and 12 hours of night. Your frogs UTH(Under Tank Heater) should be placed on the side of the tank opposite the side with the water dish. If you have trouble with the UTH not releasing enough heat you can purchase a heat lamp to assist you with this problem. You should purchase a lamp that has a dimmer switch so that you can accurately control the amount of heat and light coming from the bulbs. You can use a basking light for day heat and to help with the day night cycle. For night use and infrared bulb. Both bulbs should be no less than 25 watts and no higher than 50 watts. Absolutely no need for fluorescent lights even for UVB radiation.(note, heat lamps burn off humidity so you will have to mist more tha once a day to maintain the correct range. If possible invest in a Reptifogger and hook it up to a Hygrotherm Temp and humidity control unit to maintain the climate for you. It isn't cheap, but not too expensive.)

Lastly you have a very nice looking Green Ceratophrys Cranwelli(Chacoan Horned Frog).

Any indepth questions feel free to ask. There are many experianced keepers and breeders here to help.
