Would I be able to keep 1 in a 10 gal? What is there expected lifespan in captivity?
Expected lifespan is 16-20 years in captivity. What are the dimensions of a 10 gallon, I'm Australian.
Most likely 20" x 10" x 12", Flick.
Going by those dimensions, assuming the tank is upright and by 'green frog' you mean 'Green Tree Frog' or 'Whites Tree Frog', that would be suitable for a little while but not indefinitely. As the frog grows, it will need more room to climb, hunt and hide. I have my three frogs in a 3ft by 2ft enclosure and I still feel it could need to be bigger as they grow.
Remember, frogs don't like being handled too much, and that cage is the only environment they will know. It should be as interesting and as big as you can muster.
no i mean the frog that is similar to the bullfrog http://www.grizzlyrun.com/Files/Imag...green_frog.jpg
Green frogs get 4-5 inches easily and they can really jump. 10 gallon would be enough for a froglet; but anything over a year old would be too big for the tank. It'll smack into the glass with one hop. I would say minimum 20 gallon long for one frog - probably still skimping it though.
Lifespan data is varies, but it seems to be somewhere between 5-10 years.
wow all the sites i found said 10-15 per frog
