    Default Axolotl family grew

Well, to start with, here are my two original adults.
Reese the wildtype female and Butters the golden albino male.

Here are the 2" albino and 3" melanoid I adopted from Jays on caudata.

And the leucistic and wildtype. Both are just under 2"

Adoptions both in need of TLC. The leucistic is fairly better off, in the process of regenerating a back leg. The gfp wildtype is regenerating both front legs and the back legs stick out to the sides rather than down.

Once the young ones are old enough to determine their gender they will be named

Wow, your going all out. I am sure those younglings are in good hands now. Can't wait to see that 72 loaded up some day.

Hopefully in the fall some of these little guys will be large enough to go in with my adults.

They are all loving dinner time. I had to switch them to live blackworms due to the sudden unavailability of frozen bloodworms. I can't find them anywhere around here. I feel lucky to have been able to track down the live blackworms.

Thanks Terry. I made sure to buy new ones from different parents to add to my future breeding stock. I hope that the next breeding seasons are successful for my group. If I am lucky then most of the offspring will be females with just a couple males.

Axolotls are easy to find here in Nebraska, but unfortunately most are bred with GFP (green fluorescent protein). I prefer natural looking animals.
