coconut husk
Ok, so i need some help with eco-earth (coconut husk substrate), i live in new zealand and no pet stores sell it (as far as i'm aware) so i thought of buying it from amazon.com. But i am unsure if the new zealand customs will let it into new zealand since it's a plant product, i'm pretty sure they will if i get it in the brick form but i just want to make sure. Please reply if you have any ideas.

Where in NZ are you? Bunnings (or garden centers) will sell it. You want a Coir/Coconut fibre brick that has NO added fertilizers. =) Picked up a block for less than $9 here. Should be comparable for you.

been to alot of garden centers and the main bunnings in christchurch, no eco earth or anything without fertilizers ):
