Hi all,
Just a quick question as I can't seem to find the answer to this anywhere... I've been feeding my marsh frogs dusted pin head crickets/roaches but was wondering since they spend so much time in the water if they would also eat aquatic animals like baby cherry shrimp or brine shrimp? Obviously not all the time since they can't be dusted, but just wondering if they would or if they only eat above water. Sorry if this is a dumb question!!
I have no clue about Spotted Marsh Frogs, cause we don't get them, but I googled this page on them.
Credit goes to ARC.

Thanksdoesn't actually say if they can eat underwater or not but I appreciate the response
maybe ill just try them with some brine shrimp next time I get some for my fish and see if it interests the frogs at all... unless anyone can say definitively?
They eat crickets
I have seen mine eat a cricket in the water (because the cricket decided to jump in) But I've never tried them on anything aquatic. If you feed yours some Brine shrimp tell me if they eat it or not, because honestly I have no clue.![]()
Yeah am feeding them pinhead crickets and roaches at the moment, so cute watching them eat so politely compared to watching my big white's launching themselves at their food and shovelling it in hehe. I have my marshies in with some cherry shrimp at the moment but they are probably too big to take any interest in them yet coz they're still tiny, but I'll try some brine shrimp some time this week. I'll let you know how it goes![]()
Atleast yours are polite about it, mine aren't. :P
Yeah It'll be interesting to see if the eat them or not![]()
