I'm so sorry to hear that he passed, but I suppose it may have been for the best, as he was probably suffering quite a bit. It's wonderful that you're thinking about getting a toad! I'm sure you would be an excellent care giver. Just a little piece of advice, if you get one wild-caught, make sure it's young (possibly even a tadpole or egg). This is because they will not have much to miss from roaming about in the wild, and it would likely not live to adulthood in the wilderness anyways. They are wonderful animals to keep, especially considering they're possibly your very favorite animal!
