First of all, I have a Northern Green Frog...I think..might be an American Bullfrog. Her name is Karmen. She lives in a 20gallon.
QUESTIONS
Do aquatic plants help keep the water clean?
Do I need to have a bubbler to aerate the water?
Do I need a bubbler if I plan to keep feeder fish in Karmen's tank?
Should I get a filter even if I replace the water every few days?
I believe that is an american bull frog. They make fun pets, but eat and poop A LOT! Make sure you have a good sturdy lid, they can jump with some serious force.
Yes.
You don't absolutely need it, but it would be beneficial to the water quality and thus to your frog.
Yes.
Yes. Bullfrogs are messy :P
Thank you for actually replying.
Another question; If I don't have a bubbler, will the plants die?
I have one around the house somewhere....I just have to find it. But if I don't, I wanna know if the plants will die within a week without it.
If your plants are truly aquatic they'll be fine without a bubbler. If you're trying to grow ivy, pothos, or some other land/water plant you'll want to have a bubbler in there. They won't die right away or anything, but their roots will be much healthier if bubbles are going through them, or at least near them.
