I have several vivariums for various frogs and geckos. The planted ones have little millipedes and tiny bugs that just showed up and i guess clean the tank. i m not too concerned about them. I just noticed tiny bugs all over in my artifical gecko cage with cocoa fiber and artifical decorations, not much moisture. Are these mites? or normal clean up crew bugs? They dont seem to be on the gecos
If they were parasitic mites they would attack your frogs and gecko. They could be springtails which do clean the tank by eating fungus and fecal matter. Post some pics of the ones that look like millipedes. Could actually be millipedes or wood louse. Saul bugs/pill bugs/rolly pollies. Whatever you want to call them. They actually clean too and can be eaten by your frogs.
