Hello. I am a teen in the US, and originally became interested in frogs after I learned that dart frogs were not poisonous. I was busy with my aquariums at the time, but have quit aquariums keeping due to the excessive amounts of algae that grow, regardless of scrubbing and filtration, not to mention the fact that corals grow veeeeery slowly.
So, dart frogs became the answer. Small, corlorful, and easy to keep. I have planned out a terrarium and want to keep D. leucomelas. My budget is largeish (for me), because I can sell all my aquarium supplies for around $300-400.
Unfortunately, my mother does not like keeping frogs, so a planted vivarium will be all I can do for now. I can still tell people there are frogs in there, and chances are they will believe me.
So, hello frog forum!
