Hello,
Its Andrew.
I have been keeping frogs for over 2 1/2 years now, and this summer I felt it was time to start a breeding project.
I am interested in breeding red eyed tree frogs or other tropical tree frogs related to them (ex yellow eyed tree frog, tiger legged monkey frog, black eyed tree frog etc.) I have done hours of research and watched tons of videos on how to breed them. I have a few questions, though.
Does anyone know the cheapest way to create a rainchamber. What my idea was is that I would get the pump required to breed the specimens and attach it with a couple of feet of clear plastic tubing. I would cut holes in the tubing to create the rain, and I would cover the end of the tubing with a piece of cork. This idea was used by a few people, and I assume it works.
Also, does anyone know the best source to buy pre-sexed frogs. I need a female and two males. I can order them online, which would be best. Also, how long should I let them acclimate before I start the breeding. I would like to get this done before school starts again in September.
Thank you all for your help. I really appreciate it.
I used PVC piping with a clear hose connecting it to the pump. The PVC is easier to work with..
This might be helpfull:

The safest bet to get a nice trio of proven breeders is probably an expo. If that's not an option, there's plenty of good breeders online.
