Hello frog forum! I have been lurking for some time ever since I became intersted in poison dart frogs.
So I have my terrarium all planned out (20H with plants) and want to know if there is a cheaper option to mist my terrarium than expensive misting kits.
My budget is limited to $300 for frogs and all, so a $80 misting system isn't worth it. However, my family usually goes on vacation in the summer, so a misting kit is needed.
I was thinking of just hooking up a small water pump to a fine spray nozzle or making "rain" in the terrarium to raise humidity. I have a few air and water pumps lying around, so this is a most viable option.
Thanks!
PS I also have a timer, tubing, and rudimentary power tool skills.
PDF prices are about $35 bucks and up alone, and usually you'll want to buy at least 2 so you are out over a 1/3 of your money already in two frogs. You could pull of a rain system pretty cheap with a pump and vinyle hose.
