ps: the tank is going to look REALLY good when i get some creeping fig to cover the ground.gotta wait to get it until wal-mart starts selling there indoor plants here soon
    Griffin,
I think he is going to be okay. Keep a consistent dusting schedule so he gets what he needs -but not too much.
Keep an eye on that humidity at night ( 90 is just too high) . Think of a way , to keep a more consistent average of high70s.
I use a computer fan ( in the summer) in a timer. Below. t works great. I just move it around as needed.

He did not eat the cricket i put in there,it might be because he is in a new environment.i do use a computer fan myself but not at night because humidity gets to low,but i can just keep it over one hole to keep some circulation in there at night.also you said if i can put the quarantine cage in the viv it self but it is to big for the retf viv but i can squeeze it in my much larger 60gal gtf viv, would this be ok?

thanks for your help so much, will keep u guys posted or if he doesn't eat eventually i will come back for some help on what to do

    Hi griffin,
I do not know, because I do not have Am Green Tree frogs.
I do not know if temp and humidity needs are the same.
Let's hope others will chime in !

I'm. Not entirely sure what is causing this problem with your frog. Disoriented and having trouble with mobility could be MBD(Metabolic Bone Disease) due to a lack in calcium, but since you dust their food with calcium that contains D3 I doubt it is MBD.

Calcium is also an electrolyte with 90% humidity they should not be dehydrated, but how often do you change their water source? It should be changed everytime they enter it and every 2 days if not used to prevent bacteria and protozoans from infecting the water source and thus your frogs.

What kinds of live plants are in your Viv? Some are toxic and can poison your frogs if they come in contact with their saps and fluis if broken or damaged?

I would also send a Private message to Don Lisk and ask for his assistance.

In the mean time prepare a warm soak of UNFLAVORED PEDIALYTE. Of a 10 to 1 ratio. So for every 10oz of water add 1oz of Pedialyte. It must be UNFLAVORED Pedialyte. No deeper than half his height. Soak him for 15 to 20 minutes.

    Keep us posted.

This could also be a neurolgical problem due to a lack of a vitamin. Do you dust with a multivitamin?

ok i tried to soak him in the 1 to 10 Pedialyte water but he keeps looking down and i was afraid he was going to drown and also he was spazing out and jumping and going on his back and he was trying to flip back over but couldn't and did that a few times,so that did go so well.and also i saw that one of his pupil is more dialated than the other pupil on the other eye,he has had this since hes been acting weird or maybe even before, also does his size seem small to you guys for a 8 month old Red-Eyed Leaf Frog?i always thought that he was male because my other Red-Eyed Leaf Frog is bigger and think that one is female.and here is a pic of him, will post more pics if u guys need
