ok guys i transferd him in to the container with damp paper-towels on the bottom with a shallow water dish(both with spring water) and also put aluminum foil on the top of the cage with vents on side to keep the humidity up.so what is the next step?

also i put the container under the viv in a cabinet where it is dark, should i leave him in complete darkness or out in the open where there is light in the day

You might put the hospital container right into the viv w/ a lid?

    Hi Griffin,
    Oh! Warm things up !
    daytime temps 78- 82F 7 (78-80 perfect !!!!!!)
    night 72-75F

Humidity at 75% is okay- BUT a sustained 90% is too high.
    75-82 % ( 82 being the highest)

Your viv looks really nice !! Don't move your gauges at this point and try to adjust the temp and humidity.
Moving them just mucks things up!
You should get ( if you can) a 2nd way to monitor temp and humidity.
Home depot has ones that are about 9$.
They are battery operated .They cannot be left in the viv permanently but are accurate.
Perhaps a probe type? Those darn gauge types are not very accurate?

I really think the humidity is better lower then at 90%! And it's chilly in there.
Over time this is stressful for them. I hope this helps. Let me know.

    Is he eating?
Do you find poop on the glass?
    Have you seen him shed?

i was a bit off on the temps, right now it is 80F.and humidity only is 90% right when i turn on lights and fan in the morning, then a little after it stays at around 70-80%.and i did see poop in the water dish(in quarantine tank) and he did eat the last time i fed him,i put 1 cricket in there,so i will see if he eats it overnight.and i think i did see him shed 1 time since i have had him.so do you think he is going to be ok?

ps: the tank is going to look REALLY good when i get some creeping fig to cover the ground.gotta wait to get it until wal-mart starts selling there indoor plants here soon

My whites did that kinda thing years ago,it was his calcium deficiency. Are you dusting the crickets? Hope you find out whats wrong with the poor little guy!

    Griffin,
I think he is going to be okay. Keep a consistent dusting schedule so he gets what he needs -but not too much.
Keep an eye on that humidity at night ( 90 is just too high) . Think of a way , to keep a more consistent average of high70s.
I use a computer fan ( in the summer) in a timer. Below. t works great. I just move it around as needed.

    Fluorescent Aquarium Lighting: Cooling Fans

Timers at home depot are 8$.

He did not eat the cricket i put in there,it might be because he is in a new environment.i do use a computer fan myself but not at night because humidity gets to low,but i can just keep it over one hole to keep some circulation in there at night.also you said if i can put the quarantine cage in the viv it self but it is to big for the retf viv but i can squeeze it in my much larger 60gal gtf viv, would this be ok?

thanks for your help so much, will keep u guys posted or if he doesn't eat eventually i will come back for some help on what to do
