My Southern Brown Tree Frog had eggs, But there isn't a male in the tank. Does anyone know why she would lay? Is it cause of stress? :/
Thanks,

I'm not completely sure about this, but what I believe is good news. What I've seen in reptiles and amphibians is that they sometimes lay unfertilized eggs just when they're happy and well cared for. I don't think it's stress. Hope this helps!

I agree with Sanimal. I'm no expert but I have heard the same thing. If you were simulating her natural environment to the T then she probably felt right at home enough to have eggs (even if they are unfertilized). And in my opinion if you simulate a frogs natural home exactly then your doing an amazing job taking care of her. ^w^
Okay goodI read somewhere that it was cause of stress, so I was a bit worried.
thank you both !![]()
