Greetings All!
I'm brand new to this forum and after looking around at others, this appeared to be the most educational in my opinion.
After doing research for several weeks, me and my fiancee decided to purchase our first pac man the other day while shopping at our local petstore with some leftover money I had received from taxes. We are experienced pet owners and we currently live with a miniature dachshund, a rat, 2 ball pythons and a corn snake along with our small but beautiful fish tank. and now our newest addition, a baby green pac man frog appropriately named Paul Bunyan, seeing as how we are from Mn.
However, i just had a few simple questions in regards to our setup.
Our tank is a ten-gallon and currently consists of:
- a screen lid which we cover about 2/3 with a damp towel.
- substrate is eco earth coconut fiber
- we also use a little exo terra forest moss which was recommended to us by the lady at the petstore although we were hesitant about it
- a medium sized water dish which we keep shallow enough to be a little under his chin
- some sort of plastic cave decoration that he likes to hide in
-two thermometers (one on each side of the tank) and a hydrometer
-a dome light that has an exo terra moonlight bulb in it that we use at night since it gets kinda chilly here
-also a uth that we have on the side of his tank

Additionally, the temp stays about 82ish during the day and 78 - 80 at night. we mist frequently and it stays at around 80% for the humidity. the substrate is dampened but not muddy in the least and the moss seems to hold in the moisture decently well. he likes to burrow in it.
Other than that, we have had him for about four days and we fed him the second night we had him and he ate four small crickets no problem along with the following night. Last night he had eaten four small dusted crickets and 2 wax worms while i had been at work. He seems to be healthy and his behavior seems that of a normal pac. Stays burrowed most of the time comes out at night around the time when we feed him.
Just wondering if you recommend me altering anything I've been doing that you can think of. I trust your people's opinion more than a pet store clerks.
