Does anyone know if lead is dangerous to amphibians? Since September when we moved the weekend following the hurricane, we have been having water advisories, boiling water warnings etc...and now there are notices going around our and neighboring towns about high lead content and how to protect yourself....running the water if it has been sitting in the pipes a few hours, not using the hot water for food/cleaning etc etc etc.
Since being at my new house, I and a few others feel that we are having less than happy results with our tanks - - collectively there are a few more deaths than we are comfortable with.
Anyone know how/if lead levels affect the tanks and inhabitants?

Lead affects several major systems in humans. I did a quick search before leaving the house this morning and found a mention of a study done on frogs. Seems to have the same ill effects. Is there anywhere you can have water brought in? Perhaps set up some empty plastic 55gallon drums? I use to keep a couple with new/mixed/heated salt water when I was doing the salt thing.
