How do you keep moss alive and growing ? store bought or wild found ?

I am going to start a BIG terrarium/vivarium build and woundering the best way to keep moss alive and growing and green and should I go out to woods and just get some or is there some kind I can get from a pet store and what brand should I look for that stays alive and green?????

depends on the look you are going for.

Java moss is a common one used in vivariums, BUT it kind of needs frog tramping around on it to keep it down. Works good in dart frog setups

Ricca is another moss that is used. I personally like the look of ricca moss myself.
