Ok I have a 12inch by 12inch by 18inch high Zoo Med terrarium.
2 thirds of the base has land and 1 third has water 2.5 inches deep. Water is kept clean with filter wich also keeps the water moving lightly.
I used the Zoo Med hydroballs with some natural rock and Zoo Med Eco Earth Loose Coconut Fiber Substrate for land.
Hydroballs alow water to flow under ground for a natural eco system to develop in the tank and so cleaning is almost kept to very little to none because natural decomposition of fecal mater and urin
Have Exo Terra fake vine and jungle plant for climbing on.
Temp any where between 68 F and 83 F
Humidity any where between 75% and 95%
From the disciption above could any one suggest what kind of live plants or moss I could introduce in to the tank that need little room for root growth but are very hardy plants and where could I get them?
I up loaded some pics of the Tree Frog Terrarium
An easy first choice for a vivarium plant is pothos, aka devil's ivy, aka Epipremnum aureum. It's a very forgiving vine that will climb up your vivariums walls and has nice sturdy leaves. It should be available nearly any place that sells houseplants, home depot, walmart, etc.
However, you might want to have a browse through your nearby garden centres, home depots and so on and see what houseplants are available near you. Take notes on the plants you like the look of and then research their vivarium/frog suitablity, then go do some buying.
