I first saw it in an old National Geographic (August 2010). At first glance I thought it was a scuba diver and wondered what the gigantic eggs were. When I realized it was a toad, well it's just transcendent.
Few photos make me stop what I'm doing and look up the photographer to find more, this one did. Phtotgraphers website: Michel Loup photographe, but his stuff on Biosphoto : Agence Photographique spécialisée dans la Nature et l'Environnement seems to have a better selection of these stunning spawning photos. Definitely views of amphibians I had never seen before.
