Sorry to hear about Hopper. First thing I would do is tear down the enclosure and sterilize everything inside. Better to be safe then sorry since you have another frog in there and you are not sure why Hopper died. I would also remove the tadpole from that tank and put him in a different one to be on the safe side as well.

I'm so sorry Jason.I wish that there was more we could have done.
I'm so so so sorry to hear about your baby. I have a gray and I would be so sad if she were to die. But I thought I'd put any fears to rest about one thing. Gray and Green tree frogs actually do very well together as long as one is not bigger then the other. Not knowing what the tadpole was I cant say anything about it but the green and gray were safe together as long as the gray wasn't carrying anything (and then more likely the green would have died, not the gray).
Again I'm so sorry about your gray. Rest in peace little one.![]()
the tadpole is almost all frog now it is looking like a common american bull frog its no bigger than 3/4 of a inch at this time would a bull frog tadpole caused what happened to my Hopper the tadpole and small frog food has D3 in it what is wrong with the D3 every one keeps warning me about

Hey Jason,
My son just found a Cope's Gray tree frog this morning. After looking on line for a little while we finally ruled out that he has a femal Cope's Gray instead of just the regual Gray tree frog. I think because of the size of it that it would be referred to as a "froglet" because it's not very big and we're pretty sure "Hoppy" is a girl because of her white throat. I've just finished reading you whole thread and I'm so sorry about "Hopper". Because it's been two months since the last post on this thread, I was just curious if you ever got any questions as to if whether the bull frog tadpole you have and it's food had anything to do with the death of "Hopper". Were you ever able to take Hopper to the vet and if so what did the vet say was the cause?
