    Default Peaceful creature lover

I'm in the Midwest/Southwest part of the US and member of a local herp society. I have had S.A. tortoises for several years and want to add small frogs for their beauty to my home. I love the study and personality of chelonians and now want to advance to another subject which I hope to determine here. So far I'm looking at dart or monkey frogs but am open to others.

Welcome. I would wait till you are more experienced to do dart frogs, the feeders and the humidity are complicated but if you feel like you are up to the challenge make sure you are ready.

Welcome aboard. Monkeys are fairly hardy, but really nocturnal. Do not expect them to be an "entertaining" frog.

My friend at the Zoo herp department is going to help me set up terrarium with tropical habitat and filter/pump system. I have access to different kind of mosses and water will be trickling down rocks and into a basin. I volunteer in this department one day a week and study how the different environments are designed. My redfoot tortoises have done very well for 5 years with monitoring the right amount of sun, heat, humidity and diet in hot summers and cold winters. I don't plan on making a decision until I understand fully what is best for the frog I choose. I look forward to your input.
