Yes they will grow in the coco fiber, You may have to fertilize them though but only with stuff that is safe for the frog.

NO fertilizer is safe for your frog. If you're going to use live plants I recomend placing them in little pots and sinking them into the coco fiber. ABSOLUTELY NO FERTILIZERS IN YOUR FROGS HOME. It will poison and kill your frog.

There are frogsafe fertilizers. I know people have used wood ash with success as fertilizers, without any damage to the frogs. The oridinary fertilizers bought at a plant store is to be avoided, but there are other, more natural options.

I recommend using pots, otherwise your pacman will trample and demolish the plants. For some reason they think they're small and agile frogs

    Hi Shane,
I have never used fertilizer of any kind. Plants seem to do quite well planted in a pot using eco-earth (coco fiber) for the actual soil. Actually, plants seem to thrive in it ! Provide a small regular base/plant light on a day//night cycle for the plant.
( Home Depot $3.00). Take a minute to search "plant preparation" as it is extremely to remove all the original soil, rinse well
( including the roots), and WAIT a few weeks before you put it into the enclosure. Check out Dracena and snake plants ; they grow UP ( and slow growing ) and might be good for you enclosure. Dracena is available in nice vivid green colors.

    Great site for plant identification:

Yeah I didn't think of that. I still consider that to be a type of soil not fertilizer.
