Default The big move ! Plans?

    Hi Friends,

It is time to move them all into this conversion.

    http://www.frogforum.net/vivarium-te...ree-frogs.html

I have frogs I have NEVER touched!
What is everyone's opinion as to WHEN ( the best time of day to do this) ?

My first thought was to do it first thing tomorrow (Saturday) AM ( they will go right back to sleep)
and I can be home to keep an eye on the temp and humidity settings.

The A. callidryas (5) will be there temporarily while I clean and silicone the planters in the larger enclosure. The A. moreletii ( 1 ) will be left in this new conversion.

I probably have a bit of a relaxed attitude towards these things, but you're talking maybe 10 seconds worth of stress while you transfer them to their fabulous new digs so I'd probably just do it when it's convenient. Since they aren't used to handling I guess they might be easiest to catch if you can do it when they are asleep?

This may be the all time greatest temporary holding enclosure a group of A. callidryas will ever see

    Hi Brian ,
I was actually very nervous about moving them ,for some reason?
All seems to have gone very smoothly. I did it this AM.

Probably because you aren't used to handling them:P.

While I don't advocate handling frogs to 'play' with them, I am a firm believer in regularly (every 1 or 2 months) finding an excuse to handle them so they are at least somewhat used to it in the event that I have to move them. My usual excuses are cage cleanings, pruning, renovations, or feeding small wormy things that can't be easily free fed. And I try to time this with staged photoshoots.

I totally get the "hands off" approach though, and I don't knock it if that's the way someone wants to go.

    Glad it went smoothly
