Small bugs in my viv.

Has anyone else ever seen these? They are very small flying insects hanging out in the viv. Almost like a gnat. They don't seem to be bothering my frog but its bothering me seeing them in there from time to time. Is there anything I can do to get rid of them?

I'm not sure, this is all new to me. Probably thats what it is. Are they harmful?

I don't think so, just obnoxious. About half the plants I bring home from walmart are infested. If they haven't gotten into anything else, changing all the soil in your viv should get rid of them.

Well that's a pain in the *** lol Hopefully I could just rinse out the moss and be hopeful that eggs/larvae didn't make it to the actual eco earth. Thanks for the response.

Are they really causing a problem, or are they just not aesthetically pleasing to *you*? Seems like if you aren't growing your own plants, the bugs are going to exist. My frogs (2 grays) hunt the things. There are going to be some bugs...you are trying to recreate the natural environment, right?
