While I don't advocate handling frogs to 'play' with them, I am a firm believer in regularly (every 1 or 2 months) finding an excuse to handle them so they are at least somewhat used to it in the event that I have to move them. My usual excuses are cage cleanings, pruning, renovations, or feeding small wormy things that can't be easily free fed. And I try to time this with staged photoshoots.

I totally get the "hands off" approach though, and I don't knock it if that's the way someone wants to go.

Glad it went smoothly

Not a bad idea, At least I would be able to get a few decent photos.
I had to really scrub my hands. ( hand cream, dish soap , make up, !!!! ) all before I planned to move them this AM.
That would be my luck-----to get hand cream on my frogs!

I'm an RN, we have very good hand washing skills , Ha!
