Default Why is my green tree frog always so skinny?

I've had a green tree frog for a few months now, and he's skinny enough to clearly see his backbone/spine. He's been like this since I got him. I feed him about 3-4 crickets every second day, yet he doesn't seem to put on any weight. He has no problem catching his food. What could the problem be? Will he be okay as long as he's eating?

My guess would be, worms. Though I'm in no way an expert on frogs and frog illnesses, and I will defer to the more knowledgable in the forums.
