How to set up a heat pad properly

i wouldn't do a heat pad for a pacman, I've had pacmans get burned often when they burrow to the glass and sit on the pad till it cooks them, do a black heat lamp or attach the pad to the side of the tank not the bottom, you want to get the 10g or 5g variety and you want it to cover only half the tank in case the frog gets too hot and needs to cool off, don't put it near the water dish either that'll evaporate all your water causing you to refill it like twice a day.

I planned on putting the pad on the side. I was very skeptical using them, but my CHE is burning off the humditiy way to much.
