Here's some pictures of my viv. these were taken about a month ago, I need to get some updated pics.

I have since added a new light fixture and more plants, I have my hygrometer and fogger on now as well. this weekend I will be enclosing the top with screen etc. so that I can get it seeded with springtails next week. I'm so excited to finally be able to get my froggies....

Very nice, I am jealous of the frogs that get to move in.

That is totally awsome! You'd better get those frogs fast - There won't be any room for them if me and Kurt get in there first lol

Here some pictures of my build.

First of all my main concern with this viv is for the health of my frogs, I am super excited about getting my new leucs but also know that setting up their environment to be easy for me to maintain and to be super comfy for them. We all get busy and don't have time always for our animals "we say I will get to that tomorrow" You know what I'm saying.... So here is my virtually maintenance free vivarium that was built with the help of my husband. I can dump my entire pond in less then 2 minutes and add fresh clean water.

Its a 72 gallon bow front tank, we drilled 4 holes in the bottom, 1 is for my drain, 1 is for my fogger, 1 for my open loop which runs my waterfalls, the last is for my closed loop which runs my spray bar that supports my false bottom, the spray bar keeps my water circulating.

    Hi, Winifrog

Thanx for the pics. That's a lot of work, but well worth it! Did you design it together? Your frogs are gonna be really happy!!

Do you use a water treatment system? I just use a Brita filter but it seems to work. We have hard water here and it has clorine in it. My boy frog as been really energetic today. She just wants to hide under a rock.

They share quarters with a tiny snail and a little bottom fish. She doesn't let the snail get near her but she doesn't mind the fish. She even put a front leg around him once. I don't know if it was meant as a "hug" or not, but it looked really cute...Most of the time you don't see the fish. The snail is constantly gliding from somewhere to someplace.

I got some batteries for my camera so I'll send in some pics soon. His name is Wiggly, Her name is Squiggy, (Corny, I know, ha ha) the fish is named Lolly (cause it's a "sucker" sorry, another bad joke. My youngest son and I had fun with that one) and the snail's called Brian after the snail on Britain's "Magic Roundabout" an old kids' show. I lived there for a while. LOVED the culture.

I saved some poor frog's life there - my older son came in one day and said, "Mum, come and see this dead frog we found!" You know what kids are like - chuckle - I went out, and one of his friends moved it gently with his foot. I said, careful, it might just be hurt, but it didn't respond. I thought, well, what have I got to lose? It wasn't cold so I took it in, followed by 4 curious little guys and put some water into a bowl. My son asked, "What are you doing?" and I said, "It might just be thirsty. They drink through their skin" I put the frog into the bowl and a few minutes later it was back with us.

They were amased and I was glad I helped. I thanked them for coming to get me and we took it to a nieghbour who had a pond, thinking maybe it had wandered from there. She didn't know, but I'm sure it would have been content there anyway. She had a few green jumpers residing there.

Yep my hubbie and I designed it together. I do use a filtration unit (6 stage RODI) I also have my saltwater fish tanks that must have the filtered water.

Thats awesome about saving the little frog

I will hopefully be getting my frogs this week (fingers crossed)
