Hello again~
Was wondering if anyone ever fed their frogs nightcrawlers from bait shops.... I'm wanting to change up the diet of my frogs a bit, and have read that they're fine snacking on worms every now and then. The only place I know to find worms is at the bait shop, and on the driveway after a storm but both options sound iffy.
Are bait shop worms safe? I'm assuming they are.... I don't think worms get crazy viruses where they need to be treated with all sorts of chemicals in their food. I don't think they're fed steroid-dirt either.
Most pet stores carry them too.
My Bullfrogs love the bait shop worms... but crickets must be like crack... cause they take those first... My tree frogs think moth's are the most fun to catch... my whites run after them straight up the glass and leap to catch them... they say live caught bugs might have poison from fertilizers and pestisides... which are bad for the frogs..
Just ask if they are dye free. Some of the worms can be dyed to make them look tastier to fish and it is't so good for frogs.
Walmart sells nightcrawlers and they are fine to feed with.

Really? Do ones in city areas?
My African Clawed Frogs love bait shop and wild caught nightcrawlers.
