Hi -- I am the proud Mom of 2 waxy monkey tree frogs. I have the Mayan Exo terrarium -- the 18x18x24. I am brand new to this so just trying to learn as much as I can. I saw them about a month ago and started reading up on their care.

So far they look great. The smaller of the two did not enjoy the trip here but seems fine now. I just brought them home yesterday so they are still hiding a lot. I bought them and their whole enclosure so they are familiar with their home.

I am just wondering what to do about heat. I have been leaving the heat lamp on 24/7 but don't know if they need absolute darkness to be happy.

Also, how many can I keep in this size habitat?

Hi there and welcome to the forum!

Sorry, but I don't know anything about this frog so I suggest you post a thread with the questions in the Tree frog section.
You should not keep the lights on all the time though.

Oh, yeah that should be ok. For some reason I thought that you were talking about the lighting but I see now that it was the heating lamp you were talking about :P
