I have already read thats signs of severe stress so I took him out of there immediately, threw away the crickets that were in there. I dusted about 4 more and threw them in his tank where he's covered up for the night, poor thing :\ When I did put them in I saw him lunge at one but missed so here's hoping to see 0 crickets in the tank tomorrow morning...
Be patient and keep stress as low as possible. He will come around.

Thanks, I removed the half log because all it was doing was creating a safe haven for pinheads chilling on top of it while he was inside of it not having a chance to hunt them. So now its substrate, fake plant directly under the path of the light water dish on the opposite side of the heat mat. I'm keeping him covered at night. Nothing to bother them during the day as I am at work from 2-10pm (unless the cats are tormenting them ) Anyway I'm kind of tempted to get some nightcrawlers and dangle one in his face tonight to see what happens.

I highly recomend night crawlers as a staple food source. Since he is sort of small just cut 1 inch pieces of night crawler or a little bigger, but not much and offer them to him. Red wigglers are also good. Dust and offer them up.

Hmmm okay gonna have to research where I can get this stuff in town. Are the nightcrawlers from Walmart fishing area suitable?

Yes, these are the ones I recently bought to feed Nugget. They are also pretty inexpensive. I have only heard good things about the quality of the nightcrawlers from Walmart, and Nugget seems to like them well enough (he had only had crickets up until them).

Cool, walmart trip after work then. Just cut'em up and toss them around him? Get some tongs?

When I cut them too small, they didn't wiggle enough (Nugget likes his food to move quite a bit, not sure about Pakku). I left them a little longer than an inch, and Nugget is slowly learning to eat them from tongs. He had never done it before, so at first I kinda had to shake them around in front of his face, and then when I dropped them he'd snap them up or catch them midair. Be very careful with this as too much of it could have Pakku eating substrate. Each time Nugget missed one, or it got too much substrate on it, I'd just rinse them off real quick in a feeding dish I use and threw those suckers back into rotation. The first time he only ate 3 of the 5 pieces I tried to give him, but the next time I tried with the longer pieces he seemed to remember they were tasty and was better at eating them from the tongs (and gets better each time).
