Treating wood

Hi Guys..Tis me. As some of you may know I have an outdoor frog house. It was an old bird aviary, treated with Raw linseed oil, that hadn't been used for 10 years, You can imagine what state it was in, anyway I spent a lot of time preparing and rebuilding it to suit my frogs and because it was new for my frogs I only kept them in over summer and let them hibernate as usual in their old enclosures. In it I Lost my Puka (right back) Plant due to Frosts so I need something more hardy that grows to 2 metres and has big leaves. Any suggestions what would be good. My main question is...could I re-treat the wood with Raw Linseed Oil? would it be OK for the Frogs? I would treat the outside only and I would most definitely give it a few weeks before I put the Frogs in. I'm really not sure and need your help. If not is there anything else out there that suitable?
