    hmmmm.... hard to say. Your water is probably just unstable because you have no substrate, no plants, no nothing.

    try doing some water changes, good just be something clouding it up. maybe the eggcrate, the screen, something. Fill and drain, fill and drain, fill and drain. Also i can't really tell from your picture but does the floor layer of your eggcrate go all the way to the edges of the tank because i noticed you dont have screen on the supports

    yes it goes to the edges, I only have screen on the top of the eggcrate, I will drain it and refil
