For about 3-4 weeks now, my Tree Frogs have had a very weird sleeping schedule. Snoopy will sit behind the filter and sleep spread out, NOT tucked in. Peeper sleeps up in a corner and IS tucked in, but I don't think he hardly ever wakes up at night. So, is this a problem?
Humidity: NO READER
Temperature: 70.0F
They have been in the container for 2 months now and just started this. I didn't quarantine them because I got them at the same time, same place, same container. I'm not really worried right now because they seem to be doing fine elsewhere, but is this a problem?
Please help me...
Could they be in hibernation? They may come out at night when you don't see them, so just make sure you have fresh water and fresh feeder bugs available at all times. You also should have a gauge for the humidity, time to invest a few $$ for one.
I know, just by looking, humidity is way too low. But because of my parents, and limited funds, I really can't get a Humidity Reader. It sucks, but that's how it is.
So your saying I need to replace the feeders everyday? Didn't think of that... I guess it makes since for gut loading.
I use a water filteration system, so water is constantly being cleaned.
I've also noticed that sometimes, I see dirt on the belly of Snoopy. So I think he's out at night. Actually, no. I KNOW he's coming out. I saw him hunting last night. It's Peeper that I'm truely worried about now. I don't think he's getting enough food... Or even waking up to hunt!
if ur worried about peeper not eating have u tried putin him in a tank/tub with his crickets and just paper towel. then ull know if hes eating.
u can get humidity and temp gauges real cheap. u dont need a digital one. i think i paid about £4 each for mine. those r exo terra ones. im sure u could get a cheaper brand.
as for humidity bein low make sure ur misting daily, thatll help loads.
have u noticed dirt in their water bowl. like u say it may be that u r just not seeing them move around, i always find dirt in the water and i know theyve been and had a wash lol
Peeper refuses to eat when handled period. I have truely tried this method and both frogs were scared and tried to get away. But that was a long time ago, he may do it now...
Any other suggestions?
'll do that most likey tomorrow. I'm about to go to bed. Thanks for all your help! See you tomorrow!
