Here we go again.....

Ok So I have tried with my frog to take the best care possible but I am lost. I have had him for a little over a year, have asked several questions and have taken advice from many of you and still I feel lost!

He has a great tank with clean coconut fiber, misted 2x (or as needed) a day, plants, a little bath, and a temp and humidity gauge which I watch very closely. I keep his temp during the day between 75-80 and at night around 70-74. His humidity is always steady at between 70-80%.

So here is the problem; he just doesn't want to eat. I have even tried to force feed him and he just does not want to. He buries himself everyday and I have to dig him out every night and try to feed him, but with no luck. I have only tried crickets and mealworms however and cannot stomach givivg a mouse, do you think he is bored with the food? Here is the weird part; he hasn't lost weight at all.....how is that possible? It seems like a loooong time since he has eaten?????

I know i am asking some of the same questions but i think i can help you.

I had the same problem, my frog wouldnt eat at all for soooo long and he was just a baby! The best advice i can give you is to put about 8-10 small crickets in his tank at night than leave him alone.
When you wake up the next morning some should be gone . Be sure to take the left over crickets out so they dont stress him out. No you wont SEE him eat, but as least hes eating.

If it doesnt work the first night, try again the next night. Do this everynight until he starts eating, it should work. It did for me and i have the same exact temp. humidity as you do.



Oh and for the "burrowing" problem, just last night when i put 9 crickets in, he was burrowed 100% (couldnt even see his eyes!). The next morning there were 4 crickets left and you still couldnt see my frog under all the fiber, so they still do eat when they are burrowed in the ground :P, digging him out is only stressing him out. You need to just leave him alone and let him be

My pac didn't like to eat at first, or so i thought! He just likes "privacy" to eat! I just unbury his lil beady eyes, and throw some crickets in and leave the room for a bit and he munches them up! Now, I've even got him eating crickets from tongs! =)

try giving him some privacy and see if it helps <3

Hi, i have a ? how big it your frog ? at a year old it should be close to adult size. assuming its a C. cranwelli or ornata. in any case if giving him the privacy doesnt work I would leave it be for a few days and then get night crawlers and feed him in a tub with a little lukewarm water. I've had many cranwells refuse crickets but not many pass on nightcrawlers. and if he doesnt eat .. give him a few days before you try again.

JIvory is asking what species your Pacman is. Ceratophrys Cranwelli or Ceratophrys Ornata. What kind of Pacman frog do you have? Post pics of the frog and the frogs enclosure. This will help.
