is the C. conruta the biggest species of ceratophrys?
is the C. conruta the biggest species of ceratophrys?
No. Ornates sometimes tend to get larger. Females can get up to 8 inches, but doesn't happen very often. Most C.B. Cornutas and Ornates don't grow larger than 5.5 to 6 inches. There are some whoppers out there though. Males tend to stay around 3.5 to 4 inches of both species. Cornutas have the largest horns and mouths.
how do you measure? from mouth to back side, or from side to side?
I believe C. aurita is largest.

Yes I forgot the names of those two. Thanks Pac. And NeonI haven't seen an Aurita larger than 6 inches. I have seen an 8 in SVL Ornate in captivity. Auritas are rare.
