    is the C. conruta the biggest species of ceratophrys?

    No. Ornates sometimes tend to get larger. Females can get up to 8 inches, but doesn't happen very often. Most C.B. Cornutas and Ornates don't grow larger than 5.5 to 6 inches. There are some whoppers out there though. Males tend to stay around 3.5 to 4 inches of both species. Cornutas have the largest horns and mouths.

    how do you measure? from mouth to back side, or from side to side?

    I believe C. aurita is largest.

    Grif is female and is 4.25 to 4.5 inches. She will be a year old in a week.

    Loki is male and is about 2.75 to 3 inches. He is only a little over 5 month old though so he still has room to grow. He won't get much bigger than 3.5 inches if he makes it past 3 in.
