Been awhile since I've posted here!
My little group of four froggies is doing well. Thought I'd do a little update post with some pics!
Here's their tank, a 40gal breeder, 36x18x16.
They've enjoyed it immensely since I moved them in, the males didn't even bother taking a "settle in" period of sleeping, they were up and out that night. One male has taken to sleeping on the branches under the big leaves, but the females have been keeping to the back glass under all that brush. Although...
..this big girl has been sleeping on the "bamboo" log in the back corner, which is very nicely hidden under looooooads of brush and leaves.
Just caught her awake a few minutes ago, must've needed a "potty break".
And one male in particular has been taking nightly swims.
He rarely stays in long enough to actually do laps, but he has done a little paddling from glass to branch (guess he didn't feel like hopping!). Nearly died when I first saw him do it, thought he would thrash around and drown for sure, but he's a surprisingly calm swimmer!
The males have been calling and calling but no wrestling yet! I'm not really trying to breed them so I'm not setting up a spray bar, although I mist every few hours after sundown until I go to bed.
Well there we go! Nice to see you again, froggy forum!
love the color in your tank. so pretty!! and your Red-Eyed Leaf Frog's are beautiful!
