So after reading everyone's comments about humidity I am headed to lowes and petsmart to pick up a proper heat light/fixture, temp/humidity gauge, and some vit. supplement.
I have a question about the light fixture...Do I need to get the fixture with the ceramic socket? I plan on getting a 50w tight beam spotlight bulb from petsmart.
Also are there any bulbs that I could just buy at lowes that would work as well as the ones from petsmart?

I would reccomend a ceramic socket due to the bulbs getting hot and incase you decide to get a ceramic heat emitter sometime.
I also reccomend a light fixture that has a dimmer switch to allow for you to accurately control the amount of light and heat produced by the bulb.

A tight beam spotlight might be great for reptiles and other UV absorbing animals but Pacman's are nocturnal and the light will actually be counterproductive. Would rather recommend a dimmable dome fixture (Fluker's makes them) with either a ceramic type heat emmiter (50 watts for 10 gal.) or red light bulbs. Good luck!

i havent being wanting one for 2yrs now and once i dont have no money well not that much money they came out again but o well did you ask what jelas was feeding them but small crickets will do

So I bought a dome light from lowes and also got a dimmer. Also picked up the temp/hum gauges and 50 watt spot light from the pet store. Right now the temp is 82 and the humidity is 50. I just sprayed the tank so the humidity should raise up a bit. My thinking with the spot light bulb was that I wanted it to heat only half the tank and have the other side cooler, also keeps one side darker.

Hi Carlos,

Spotlight bulbs. They are good for raising ambient air temps without having to dial the bulb up high so it won't be too bright. It doesn't harm the frogs. As with all nocturnal species they will avoid the light and burrow away from it as well as hide under plants. Mine do this. No harm done.

So it looks like he has settled into his new enclosure already. Last night I looked in the cage before I went to bed and he was poking his head out of his hole, looked like he was waiting for some food. I have the temp steady at 82 and the humidity is at 75. Tonight after the lights go out I am going to put in a couple crickets, I really hope he eats.
