So I woke up to find one of my male green tree frogs was on top of my new frog. Looked kinda funny and I was unsure if he was hurting it so I turned on my light the new frog tried to hop away and my frog stayed with it I really think the new frog is a female now. Were they doing what I think they were? Thing is there is no water in my tank just Eco dirt. So should I go out and get a new tank for them? And if so how do I make the conditions right for breeding.
If they're anything like grey tree frogs they need a large water area with lots of limbs and sticks coming out. I prefer to use spring water with my animals. Mist them frequently, and perhaps warm them up a few degrees.
Again, the above advice is what I've learned in my research of breeding grey treefrogs (hyla versicolor). You should do your own research on your species to make sure the information I'm giving you is correct.
This will help ! Although, it was created for red eyes.
