I just recently got my first Pacman, on Saturday night. I got him a tank, with all the fixings. I am concerned because he has been totally submerged for 2 full days without eating. I saw him eat a cricket the night we got him but he hasn't showed himself since i went to bed that night. I put some crickets in his tank in case he comes out, keep his tank about 80% hummidity, and day temp 78-83 , night temp at 70. i don't know if i should dig him up and help him eat, or take away some of his substrate so he can't bury himself totally. In any case is this normal, and how long should he be submerged and not eat?
ive had my pacman a little over a month, and she spends 85 percent of her time under ground. when i first got her, i was worried about the same thing. i didnt want her to hide so long and go hungry. so what i did was uncovered her head, then about half hr later go back and put my hand behind her or from the side and push it into the substrate and scoop her out. i would sit her on the soil and try to feed her. after feeding or attempting to feed her, i would cover her up and let her be. she would stay out for a while then eventually go back to being buried 100percent again.
do you have three sides of her tank covered?
