Question Bromeliad pups not growing roots after 2 months in soil?

I have 3 bromeliad Neoregelia pups that I have been trying to grow roots on. I had them for almost 2 months growing in soil, and I don't even see one single root. Its not anything fancy, just Eco Earth. Suggestions? They are still green and alive. Haven't lost any leaves yet. No browning or anything.

Being epiphytical, it only uses the roots to attach itself to something. It does not use the roots to get water/nutrients, so I don't see why you would want it to "root". But if you do, the best thing to do is to attach it to something in the air, so it will try to attach itself there.

Air plants use their roots to hook onto to stuff not to feed themselves
