    I use bottled water,and AviPro mixed in and so far so good.....so far i have taken in two cane toads that were very skinny and off their food,they love to soak in their bath and i have found this works wonders they were both eating well in a short space of time!!

    i bought water from a locally owned pet store it didnt have Cl so any kind of distilled water would probly be easier

    You can't use distilled water or reverse osmosis water as a main water source. It will kill the frog/toad by robbing the frog/toad of vital vitamins/minerals/electrolytes/andsalts that the frog/toad needs for healthy bodily functions and to stay hydrated. You can only use these waters if you reintroduce the salts/minerals back into the water. They are fine for misting, but you can NOT use them as a main water source like a soaking dish without readding the minerals and salts that it lacks.

    another question on this topic.....i dust the crickets with calcium +D3, would disolving some of this powder in the soaking water have any benefits or adverse reactions??

    I've read in other threads this will not benefit the frog/toads in any way. But then who know's, maybe there is new information and products for this.
