Hey new here to the forum. I have been reading here ever since I got my first pacman this week. I do have a question about feeding him worms. I read on here some were that for the little ones you should cut the worms at about an inch so the can eat them. My question is how many 1 inch worms should I feed him? He is about the size of a silver dollar. Thanks for all the info I already have gleaned from you guys and thanks in advance for your answers.
Welcome to the forum! Make sure you read the Pacman Care Sheet, if you have not already. Juvenille pacs should be fed every night. Three or four earthworm chunks on average should be good. Some people use the "fifteen minute feeding rule." You basically offer one worm (or other food) after another for fifteen minutes. They eat as much as they want; they'll stop when they are full.Your pacman is at a very important developmental stage so it is vital that he get nutrients and vitamins. Make sure you use a vitamin supplement every other feeding and calcium dust once a week (but don't use the calcium on the same feeding as the vitamin; their bodies can't absorb them as well when used simultaneously). Also, make sure that the worms are from a good source and have NO chemicals or dies. Some bait shops use them for fishing. Let us know if you have any other questions.
Oopse! Calcium dust everyother feeding and a multivitamin once a week. Don't use them both at the same time in a feeding.
Thanks for all the advice. Luckily I got my worms from Walmart and got the DMF brand. Thanks for all the feeding and nutrition advice!
You're welcome
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !
