I know that misting directly on the frog is a "no no" I try not to but sometimes it can't be helped. I mist with distilled water to avoid the hard water spots on the glass. Should he be fine?

As long as its not a lot of the distilled water getting on him/her, he'he should be fine. Mainly you do not want to use it as a main water source like their soaking dish. As long as its minimal exsposure he/she should be fine. Try not to spray him/her. Mist the walls of the enclosure and the soil around him/her. This way you avoid directly spraying the frog.
Yeah that's what I do, but sometimes a bit gets on him and i can see his little eyes close and open back up. I feel so badlol
He/she is fine. We do the same thing when we get water or even place eye drops in our eyes. Its a normal reaction for something coming in contact with the eyes. As long as its not a lot and you expand your frogs substrate with de-chlorinated water and not distilled you and your Pac are fine. No worries![]()
Oh wow I did not know this. I always mist my pacman frog down :O. Why is this bad for the frog?
Really glad i just read this, I will stop misting my poor little buddy.
That's what we are here for: to help and share information.
Distilled water has no minerals in it. The frogs need the minerals that they absorb from regular water. If a pacman was only exposed to distilled water (in its soaking dish, substrate, and misting) then it would eventually die from lack of minerals. Minimal exposure should not cause any permanent health issues. Avoid spraying your frog directly and your little buddy should be fine.![]()
